Itinerary 

DAY 01: FRIDAY, OCT 20 - DEPARTURE FROM HOME

Our exciting journey begins as you board a wide-bodied jetliner in North America. Dinner and breakfast will be served on board, before arrival in Israel.

 

DAY 02: SATURDAY, OCT 21 - ARRIVAL IN TEL AVIV

Afternoon arrival at Ben Gurion International airport in Tel Aviv, after a brief stop in Europe. Meet your guide who will assist with the transfer to the hotel in Tel Aviv or Netanya.

 

DAY 03: SUNDAY, OCT 22 -  HAIFA / NAZARETH / TIBERIAS 

We begin our Journey in the Holy Land as we drive northwards to the ruins of Caesarea Maritima, seat of government of the Roman procurator, Pontius Pilate; and the home of Cornelius to whom in      Acts 10 Peter brings the gospel & the Holy Spirit falls on them all!      Lunch will be served on Mount Carmel. Our next stop will be to visit the "Place of Sacrifice" where the Prophet Elijah had an encounter with the Priests of Baal (1 Kings 18:17-40). We drive on across the "Plain of Armageddon" to the town of Nazareth in the hill country of Galilee where Jesus grew to manhood (Matthew 2:23). Visit the Basilica of the Annunciation and the Synagogue. Finally, we will see Cana in Galilee, scene of the wedding feast where Jesus turned the water into wine (John 2:1-11). We will end our day in the city of Tiberias by the Sea of Galilee for dinner and overnight. 

DAY 04: MONDAY, OCT 23 - GALILEE / GOLAN HEIGHTS               

Our day begins with a visit to Mount Beatitudes & dedicated to the feeding of the multitudes, the site where Jesus preached the  Sermon on the Mount. A short drive takes you to Capernaum where Jesus lived. Nearby is the house of Simon Peter and the Synagogue. A boat cruise will take you across the tranquil Sea of Galilee. After a lunch of St. Peter’s Fish, our motor coach takes us to Banyas on the slopes of Mount Hermon, to Caesarea Philippi and visit one of the sources of the river Jordan. Return to the hotel in Tiberias for dinner and overnight. 

DAY 05: TUESDAY, OCT 24 - TABOR / JERICHO / JERUSALEM

Morning baptism service at Yardenit for those who wish to be baptized in the Jordan River (robes will be provided). Drive to Mount Tabor, the hill of the Transfiguration (Matthew 17:1-8). From the top of the Mount, there is a wonderful panoramic view that extends from Mt. Hermon in the north to the hills of Samaria in the south. After visiting the  Basilica, we go down the hill and begin our drive through the Jordan Valley towards Jericho, the oldest walled city in the world.     After lunch in Jericho, visit the excavations at the oldest walled city in the world, Elisha’s fountain, and view Mount of Temptation. Continue to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.  

DAY 06: WEDNESDAY, OCT 25 - MT. OF OLIVES / BETHLEHEM 

The Mount of Olives is located on the eastern side of the Old City across the Kidron and offers a magnificent view of Jerusalem, Temple Mount, Judean Hills, and on a clear day the hills of Moab. As you descend the Mount, visit the Church of Pater Noster, the Ascension Chapel, and the Chapel of Dominus Flevit. At the foot of the Mt. of Olives is the        Church of the Agony and the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus prayed and was betrayed by Judas. A short six-mile drive south of Jerusalem brings us to the hillside city of Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus. Visit the oldest church in Christendom, built over the cave where Jesus was born. After leaving the Basilica of the Nativity, stop at the Fields of the Shepherds. Lunch is in a local restaurant, with a return to the hotel for dinner and overnight. 

DAY 07: THURSDAY, OCT 26 - JERUSALEM / THE HOLY CITY 

We begin by visiting the Kidron Valley and the Pool of Siloam before driving to Mount Zion to visit the Upper Room, Tomb of King David and the Church of Saint Peter in Gallicantu built over sections of the Palace of Caiaphas where Jesus was taken from Gethsemane and held in a cell dungeon before his crucifixion. View the Roman steps leading to the Garden of Gethsemane.  Continue to visit the Jewish quarter,    Temple Institute, and Western Wall tunnels where you stand in reverence for the occasion. On Mount Moriah, Abraham prepared to sacrifice his son, Isaac. Both Solomon’s and Herod’s Temple stood near here. Visit the Tower of David Museum before returning to your hotel for dinner and overnight. 

 

DAY 08: FRIDAY, OCT 27 - QUMRAN / MASADA / DEAD SEA            

Leaving Jerusalem by way of Jericho, the oldest walled city in the world, we’ll arrive at Qumran to visit the community center of the Essenes and the caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Then continue towards Ein Gedi, an oasis located at the edge of the Judean Desert, where King David hid while escaping the soldiers of Saul.                     After lunch at the Guesthouse Restaurant, we start our sightseeing on the southern shores of the Dead Sea; and ascend the fortress by  Cable Car to visit the ruins of fortifications, waterworks, Herodian palaces, and Roman temples. Stopping at the Dead Sea shore, this will be your opportunity to wade or swim in its saline water. Access to the beach and the showers are included. At the end of the day, we board the bus to depart “up” toward Jerusalem for dinner. 

 

DAY 09: SATURDAY, OCT 28 - VALLEY OF ELAH / JERUSALEM

After breakfast, we’ll drive west of Jerusalem to Nebi Samuel (Tomb of the Prophet Samuel); and continue towards the Valley of Ayalon, known as the location of major battlefields where Joshua, defeated his enemies with supernatural miracles! The sun stood still here. We drive past Emmaus and arrive in Beit Shemesh, where in Biblical times a battle took place between Israel and the Philistines, and they (the Philistines) captured the Holy Ark. We continue through the Valley of Elah where David fought Goliath, the Philistine Giant. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem. 

 

DAY 10: SUNDAY, OCT 29 - BETHEL / BEEROTH / LEBONAH / SHILOH

Drive from Jerusalem on the road to Samaria; pass through the hill country of Ephraim; and continue to Shiloh on the road between Shechem and Jerusalem. The Ark of the Covenant was kept at Shiloh for 369 years according to the Talmud. We stop for a high-tech presentation about the events that took place at Shiloh, having to do with the life of Eli, Hannah, Samuel and the capture of the Ark by the Philistines (1Samuel 2-4). Return to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight. 

 

DAY 11: MONDAY, OCT 30 - OLD CITY / GARDEN TOMB 

In the morning, we begin a walking tour where a thousand and one “sights and sounds” greet you. Entering through St. Stephen's Gate,  visit Saint Anne’s Church, Pool of Bethesda, and the pavement (Lithostrotos) where the Roman soldiers gambled for the Robe of Christ. Stop at the Ecce Homo Arch (Behold the Man) and then walk the traditionally accepted last route trodden by Christ when led to his crucifixion – the Via Dolorosa. Visit the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, Calvary, the place of Crucifixion, and where the last stations of the Cross are located, and the Tomb of Jesus. A worship service is planned at the Garden Tomb before lunch. The balance of the day is at leisure in the Old City until 5:00 pm when we gather at Jaffa Gate for the return to the hotel.

 

DAY 12: TUESDAY, OCT 31 - ALLENBY BRIDGE / PETRA                        

Be prepared to rise early. The Jordanian bus will meet the group at the border. After immigration and customs; we embark on an exciting visit towards the colorful hills and canyons of Wadi Musa and Petra. We continue to the ancient city of the Nabateans, Petra for dinner and overnight.

 

DAY 13: WEDNESDAY, NOV 1 - PETRA / MOUNT NEBO / AMMAN                                          

From Wadi Musa, a half-hour horseback ride reveals the “Rose-Red City, half as old as time”. Lost to human knowledge until two centuries ago, it is now available to explore in all its beauty. Visit the Treasury, the street of Columns, and the royal tombs.                  See the amazing mountain fortress of Petra, known to be inhabited by the Edomites - the descendants of Esau. Petra’s rich past and coming future are found throughout the Bible. Revelation 12:6 shows it will serve as a refuge to a remnant as they flee Israel in the last days. The incredible tour begins with a walk through the "Siq," an immense crack in the Nabatean sandstone, to the city of Petra carved out of the rose red rock. The Treasury, El Khazneh, is one of the most elegant remains of antiquity – enjoy a quick camel photo op and get ready to enjoy your EV Tour of this magnificent site! After lunch, begin a three-hour drive towards Amman. Stop at Mount Nebo where Moses viewed the Promised Land. Enjoy the setting sun over Jerusalem and the fertile valley around Jericho. Proceed to the hotel in Amman for dinner.

 

DAY 14: THURSDAY, NOV 2 - JERASH / AMMAN

We briefly visit the Royal Capital of Jordan as we drive to Jerash on the Hills of Gilead. Visit the ruins of the best preserved of the ten cities of the Decapolis with its world-renowned Roman Theater, Street of Columns and Roman Temples. Return to Amman to visit the modern quarters of the Royal Capital and the ancient Roman ruins. Dinner at our hotel. 

 

DAY 15: FRIDAY, NOV 3 / 4 -  AMMAN AIRPORT / HOME

Early departure to Queen Alia Airport for our flight to North America, bringing home memories and celebrating miracles that will last for a lifetime.
