January 8th through 28th

This Sunday starts our season of fasting, 21 days of unity in fast. I can't begin to express to you how excited I am to begin this new year in our season of fast. Last years was amazing with so many wonderful reports and testimonies of God's miracles, healings, financial blessings, family restorations and so on..... 
If you are new to the idea of a fast, this is the term:Restrict food for a period of time for a spiritual purpose

The purpose:

• To position yourself to hear the voice of DaddyGod 
• Deeper relationship with Him
• Keep your focus
• Prayers answered

Many in our church family will be doing a Daniel Fast. A Daniel fast is restricting any "pleasant foods" as found in Daniel 10. If you are doing the Daniel Fast Please start the detoxing process this weekend (if have not already done so) so to not put your body in shock... LOL.

In the Daniel Fast you can't have any coffee or sugars and such, (which we all know I LOVE my coffee) so I have started the detoxing process this week. If you are doing the Daniel Fast, Morning Star Market in Thomasville is a great place to buy your fruit. They are open Saturday and Sunday till 4.

FAST... however He leads you to do. This is a personal time between Him and you. It is about finding that deeper place in Him. ( and it is daily for 21 days).... Don't focus on the food or the lack of, don't stress or worry about making meals to fit the schedule just spend quality with Him. He is our Father, our Daddy, and He so wants quality time with his kids.

When restricting special foods, find those things you enjoy and give them as a sacrifice for your prayer need. Coffee, Soda, Meats, Sweets, Carbs....come on you know which ones make you smile . 
Fasting is not a diet it is a cleansing of your body, mind and soul. It is refreshing and renewing.... what a way to start the new year, new beginnings ~~~ 2012
